Guild Academy is a semi-synchronous, cohort-based digital learning experience that runs over a set period of time, typically 5 to 6 weeks. Learners move through modules that include custom videos featuring your leaders, interactive content, and social discussions with their peers. Think of it as a dedicated learning space employees return to each week to reflect, engage, and grow together. Unlike an LMS, LXP, or content library, which primarily store and deliver content, Academy is built for engagement, application, and behavior change. It can complement your existing systems or run as a standalone experience, with flexible integrations for a seamless learner and admin experience.
Each Academy program is built around a key moment that matters, like onboarding, becoming a manager, or learning to use your company’s AI tools. Programs follow a proven template with 5–6 structured modules and include a rich mix of content: short articles, videos, real-world stories, quizzes, forums, and more. Cohorts learn together through asynchronous lessons and social touchpoints, with leaderboards and discussion threads to drive engagement. The final 20–30% of each Academy is customized to reflect your organization’s language, culture, and priorities. (More on this in the next question.)
We come onsite for a day to film your leaders and subject matter experts, capturing their stories and insights to embed directly into the learning experience, alongside your organization’s branding, language, and frameworks. We also tailor each module to reflect your strategic goals and cultural context, making the program feel like it was built in-house.
Most Academy programs run for about 5 weeks, with learners spending about 1 hour per week. Many engage beyond that through nudges, peer discussions, and social prompts built into the platform. For employees on the go, the mobile-friendly experience supports 10-minute bursts of learning between shifts or meetings.
We start with a proven program template, then customize it with your branding, voice, and internal perspectives. Our learning designers and in-house production team handle the heavy lifting, which is especially valuable for lean L&D teams. Programs are facilitated asynchronously: Learners move at their own pace each week while staying connected to their cohort through forums, discussions, and reflections.
