How Guild brings diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging to life.
Guild's stance on DEI
Diversity, equity, and inclusion is more than a philosophy at Guild – it’s at the core of who we are and why we exist.
At Guild, we take a holistic approach to DEI, striving to create an equitable and inclusive workplace and investing in diversity to achieve our mission to create a culture where everyone feels a sense of belonging.
Guild's 2023 Annual DEI Report
Guild's DEI Annual Report includes information about our strategy, demographic information in relation to our north star of reflecting members and learners, a spotlight on our employee resource groups, and our commitments for the upcoming year.
Access and opportunity
At the heart of our mission are access and opportunity. That commitment manifests in our workplace culture and all relationships – internally within Guild and with our external partners, members, and learners.
These are so much more than buzzwords at Guild, they are values embedded in our value of shared success and are critical for executing the social impact of our work and creating the employee experience and workplace culture we strive for. This includes supporting our talent through best in class employee resource groups, ongoing company-wide DEI learning opportunities, and inclusive feedback opportunities that allow us to deliver data-driven solutions.
Advocacy and Employee Resource Groups at Guild
Over 59% of Guilders are members of Employee Resource Groups that offer support and advocacy to communities that have been historically marginalized and underrepresented, community building, networking, mentorship, discussion, innovation, celebration, change-making, and more.
We take an equitable approach to our Employee Resource Groups, which are an integral part of Guild’s commitment to drive change within diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging and as such, we are proud to be leading edge in offering compensation choice (equity or cash) for leaders to recognize their important contributions to the business. Guild ERGs include:
→ AAPI Guilders
→ Black Guild Network
→ Caregivers and Allies Network
→ Disability Action Community
→ Gender and Sexuality Diversity
→ Unidos@Guild
→ Women@Guild
The contributions to our company culture, business success, and sense of belonging that these groups and leaders created are immeasurable but that won’t stop us from shining the spotlight on a few of the many impressive collective accomplishments of these teams:
→ 183 events hosted and counting
→ Over 59% of Guilders are in an ERG
→ 93 ERG volunteer and pillar leads who consistently supported ERG leadership throughout FY’23
→ 52% of the total ERG budget was spent supporting marginalized owned businesses (i.e. suppliers or organizations that are led by or directly support BIPOC, (dis)abled, women, and/or LGBTQIA+ communities)
